Lester Hillman: Three Cheers for the Regent’s Canal

The completed Regent’s Canal opened in 1820. In this bicentennial year, Lester Hillman will explore the Regency drama played out in engineering, scandals, fraud, comedy, pageantry, politics, global warfare, climate and even table decoration.
For five decades Lester has worked on major transport infrastructure and utility interfaces, on heritage and planning, tourism and education. From 2007-2010 he was a Visiting Professor in the BAISTL Sector Group (Business Analysis, Information Systems, Transport and Logistics) of the London Metropolitan Business School, London Metropolitan University. He is the holder of a number of international, professional and academic awards and will draw on work supporting the London Canal Museum and advising for television, film, radio and international publishing houses.
