As with previous Festivals, a Writing Competition was held and submissions invited from adults and school children in various age categories (see below). Entrants had to choose one of three Milton quotes as their subject: “All hell broke loose”; “Every cloud has a silver lining”; “Trip on the light fantastic”. There was once again an excellent response and the judges commented on the high standard of all the entries and the enjoyment they had in reading them. The winning entries were read aloud at the closing ceremony on Sunday 18th in St Michael’s church by Robert Lindsay, once again offering sterling support to the Festival for which we are most grateful.
